Mata Kuliah Australian Society AND Culture (2 SKS)

Deskripsi Mata Kuliah :

This course provides an opportunity to use specific concepts and methods necessary to develop a broad understanding of Australian society and its culture, particularly understanding of the diversity of Australian culture and the dynamic of its history. Students will have opportunities to investigate Australia’s geohistorical setting, demography of the Australian population, cultural diversity, communities, work and the welfare state, social inequalities, rural and urban life, employment, the Australian family, tradition and authority, social structures and sanctions, culture and leisure, spirituality, religion and belief, popular culture and globalization.

Capaian Mata Kuliah :

  1. Demonstrate an ability to analyze and evaluate evidence through careful reading specific sources, watching and listening audio and video documentaries.
  2. Manage to gain general understanding of the dynamics and diversity of Australian society and cultures.
  3. Demonstrate an ability to develop appreciation of the processes of continuity and change of Australian society and cultures.
  4. Apply communication skills, using technologies, to transmit knowledge, skills and ideas to others.
